Transport & Travel Research Ltd has been actively working with management and staff, producing and implementing Travel Plans since the earliest studies in the mid 1990s. We offer a high quality service tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
Travel Plans
TTR are Members of the Association for Commuter Transport (ACT) and were well represented on the Department for Transport’s Travel Plans Site Specific Advice consultancy panel. TTR has also been part of the local TransACT panel of Travel Plan consultants since 2001. We have a core team of Travel Plan specialists and we have provided assistance and Travel Plan advice to over fifty clients. Our client portfolio includes a wide range of organisations as shown below.
Business Travel Plans
TTR provided a Travel Plan for the Oxford Business Park and the Cressex Business Park in Buckinghamshire. TTR has also worked with a wide range of other businesses including the Boots Company, BMW Group, Egg, Hewlett Packard and Travelex. Working in conjunction with the B&Q Travel Plans team, we have developed Travel Plans at over 40 stores nationwide and the B&Q Head Office.
Local Authorities
TTR has provided Travel Plan support to a number of Local Authorities including Portsmouth, Bristol and Nottingham City Councils, Buckinghamshire County Council and the Peak District National Park Authority.
Health and Education
TTR has worked for a range of organisations in the health and education sector including a group of Primary Care Trusts in Nottinghamshire, Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the University Hospital in Leicester, Portway Community School, Portsmouth City schools and the Early Years Childcare group in Nottingham.
Leisure and Recreation
We have experience of managing visitor travel through Travel Plans and have worked with a number of organisations including Rosliston Forestry Centre, the Woodland Trust, Wycombe Leisure Centre and the National Forest.
Travel Awareness
We combine our expertise in Travel Planning with a strong competence in travel awareness and marketing in the transport sector, having worked with clients such as Leicestershire County Council and Merseytravel. We also led the three year pan-European travel awareness project TAPESTRY.
We also have specialist knowledge in the field of car clubs, having evaluated a group of pilot rural car clubs for the Countryside Agency.
